Hello, my name is Barbara Alexander, and I'm so excited to be teaching First Grade at St. James School! 

I have been a part of the St. James community for many years.  I've had the privilege to be involved as a Room Mom, HSA volunteer, substitute teacher, tutor and the school librarian. 

Both of my children have graduated from St. James. As adults they remember their days here fondly and remain close to many friends that were made at St. James.

I graduated from St. Joseph College with a dual certification in Elementary and Special Education.  I then studied at Central Connecticut State University and received my Master's in Reading.  I taught both First Grade and Special Education in the Manchester public school system for 13 years.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children.  I love being outside, doing Pilates, and reading a good book! My favorite place to get away to is Ogunquit, Maine.
